This Week Around the Fire 🔥
We’re going to get right down to business here and give you the low-down on what you can expect to see in the Fireside Chat every week.
We’re going to highlight incredible businesses who have posted active offers on the web-app, because we want to spread the word across Canada that there are many businesses working their tails off who deserve our support. You’ll see all the details under the section labelled ‘Businesses On Fire ’ below. So if you’re a business and you still need to post an offer, go do that asap because we want to feature you next.
Next under ‘What’s Cracklin’ (get it? Fire, crackle, lol, ya it’s lame but we’re obsessed with the theme) we’re going to tell stories about folks all over the place putting barter deals together, meeting each other and building their support system. So, on that note, we need everyone to send us pictures, videos, texts, emails about barter deals you’re putting together, and friendly new neighbours you’re meeting through the web-app. Can you do that for us? That would be AMAZING!! The more stories, the better! Let’s go! Ok, got a little excited there. I digress. Now what else…
Next up is the feature called ‘Fireside Tips’ where we will provide very important tips on how to maximize the web-app and how to make it the best it can be for you.
Next you’ll see ‘Cool Feature Updates’ that will highlight all the new features we’ve added to the web-app that you will definitely want to know about!
Oooh, and you’ll love this one…’Fireside Finds’ is where we will highlight a few offers that are posted that we think are worth showcasing. If you want one of your offers to pop up here and promoted, let us know and we’ll give you a special mention!
And finally, we have a few surprises we might add in here every week that are FIRE (or at least we think they’re awesome!). You’ll see a couple below…they may be there every week if folks like them. FYI, we’re looking for feedback, so let us know what you would like to see in the Fireside Chat once you’re finished reading it.
So, now before you start checking this thing out, we want to sure you don’t miss the ‘Let’s Get Real’ section right before we put out the fire and head home, because it’s the warm-fuzzy kind of stuff that only happens when you stick around after everyone’s left. It’s when friends go deeper and actually start connecting…so maybe we’ll see you then and pour you another drink?

Update your town or city in your profile — it helps nearby members find and trade with you faster. In fact, fill out your entire profile as much as possible because this helps build trust between members and builds friendships.
Tip#2
One of the fastest ways to fire up your bartering experience to is to load BITS™ into your wallet because as this community is getting started, the faster BITS™ flood the web-app, the faster it will grow. Here’s a quick video about it here.

Fireside Finds Of The Week
Ok, ya’ll have to check out these offers we found. Of course, since you guys are AMAZING, there are tons of offers popping up everyday, but we can’t feature them all! You’ll want to go shopping after this right? I mean, everything feels better when you get what you want without using money.
Now…. since we’re friends here, and life can be downright crappy (say ‘NO KIDDING!’), we want to be real with you, lift you up and bring words of comfort.
So before we finish here at the fire, as promised, we’re going to pour you another drink, and we’re going to settle in a bit. Maybe we’re going out on a limb doing this, but we think you might just need it…
Let’s Get Real
Put a video here of Debbi reading out of a book - really short video each week filmed with a green screen and different fires and backdrops, change up and different outfits, etc and one reading or ‘word of wisdom’ could build on the next so people want to come back and hear the ending…either way, we share things that have impacted us, have built us up and given us hope.
This section is important for build our member’s trust and showing them who we are…
