Hey friend! 👋 Welcome to the fourth ever Fireside Chat, your source for weekly updates, tips (and other cool stuff) from your bartering tribe….
This week we’re going rogue and sending one message…swim down.
If you’ve ever watched the movie Finding Nemo, you know about the scene where a bunch of the fish are captured in a net, along with Nemo and Dori. All the fish are freaking out because they’re going to die, and Marlin, Nemo’s dad, starts yelling….
Wait, ✋🏼 let’s just watch this first…

Remember that scene in the movie Finding Nemo when all the fish are trapped in the net?
Everyone’s panicking. They’re swimming sideways. Fighting each other. Trying to escape on their own.
And Marlin’s off to the side saying one simple thing:
“Swim down. Swim down.”
At first, it’s pure chaos. But then something wild happens. They stop panicking, start listening and they all start swimming down together.
Then what happens?
BOOM! The net snaps.
And they’re free.
That scene IS EVERYTHING, because honestly?
Canada’s in the net right now.
Everyone’s yelling different directions.
Left. Right. Fight this. Cancel that. Blaming each other.
When I say “swim down,” I don’t mean chaos.
I don’t mean violence or burning anything to the ground.
I mean collective calm resistance, not individual panic.
Swimming down looks like this:
No more blind loyalty to systems that clearly aren’t working.
No more constant infighting or letting the media turn everything into a Hunger Games-style culture war. (and we know they’re sending people to divide the freedom community - they know what they’re doing and we are falling for it!)
This net only works because everyone keeps pulling in different directions.
The moment enough of us calmly say,
“No… we’re not doing this anymore,” the net breaks.
We have built a community that you can easily join for free, where you can unite with people just like you, and build the life you actually want together. We’re swimming down but we need everyone to do it with us.
So let’s swim down, Canada!
